By default, each program will allow only one application to be created for a single applicant. User accounts are uniquely identified by an email address. While most providers will only need or want to receive a single application from each person for a specific program, other providers may need to allow a single user to submit more than one application for a single program. The "Allow Multiple Applications Per User" option will make it possible for a single user to apply to a single program more than once.
Most often, this feature is useful for, but is not limited to:
- Grants that need to accept multiple projects from a single organization
- Organizations that offer programs for youth that would have parents completing applications and may have more than one child applying
- Award programs that allow a single person to nominate multiple nominees
If you have multiple programs, a single user may still apply once to each of your individual programs without you using the "Allow Multiple Applications Per User" option.
