There are two administrative roles in SmarterSelect: Provider Admin and Provider User. Provider Admins can create new Provider Users and new Evaluators while Provider Users may only create new Evaluators.
To create a new Provider User or Evaluator, click on "People" in the top horizontal menu.
Next, a Provider Admin will see a blue "Create User" button while the Provider User will see a blue "Create Evaluator" button. Click this button. Please note that a Provider User will not see the options to select a role - all users created by a Provider User will be Evaluators only.
Select the role(s) for your new user (a Provider User can also serve as an Evaluator, if you wish) and enter the email address, first name, and last name for the user. Note: If the user already exists in the SmarterSelect system, you will be unable to create a new account for them.
The new user will receive an email at the email address used to create their account. The user will need to access this email within 7 days to establish their account and create a login password. If your user happens to miss this deadline, simply go back into the People table and click "Reset" next to their name in the People table. This will generate a password reset request email to the user with which they may establish a password and access their account.
If you wish to create a new Provider Admin, simply create a new Provider User account and contact our Support team to promote the user to Provider Admin status.
