In the Program section, you will be able to adjust the settings that will affect the entire program. This includes deadlines, program contact information, program title, overall description and requirements, as well as options and customizations.
Here you will be able to provide a program name, description, and requirements. You can also upload a program-specific logo and add a custom message and/or redirect applicants upon completion of the application.
Program Status & Deadlines
Here you will be able to activate or deactivate your program as well as set three different deadlines.
By default, your program will be marked as active. This will allow you to test your program. The program must be active to test as well as to allow new applications, recommendations, and evaluations. You can mark your program inactive by unchecking this box. When you mark a program as inactive, the link to your program becomes invalid.
Deadlines are set to your organization's timezone. To set or update your timezone, go to Account Settings and set the timezone at the bottom.
Here, you can set your deadlines for three different processes within your program.
The program deadline is the deadline for applicants. Once the program deadline has passed, applicants will no longer have access to the application.
SmarterSelect offers online recommendation and information requests. These requests will send a unique link via email to a recommender or other contact. This link will expire on the deadline set for recommenders.
SmarterSelect also offers online evaluations. Evaluators will be able to access and make their evaluations assigned to them up until the evaluator deadline.
Simply ignore a deadline setting if you are not planning to use the online recommendation or evaluation feature.
Contact Information & Social Media
The contact name and email address should be set as the person you want in charge of questions from applicants, recommenders, and/or evaluators. This contact information will be provided to these users in the event they have a question or issue.
You can also enter your Facebook page URL here to allow applicants to connect with your organization via Facebook.
The Program section is also where you can identify a program as common or linked to a common program or set the options and customizations.
