In SmarterSelect, a user can be associated with more than just one provider account. For example, there might be three different organizations who use SmarterSelect to which a student has applied for scholarships. Therefore, the user account belongs soley to the user rather than three providers. It would not only be a violation of the user's privacy to alter their user name, email address, or password but it would also affect this information as seen by other providers who are also associated with that user.
The users themselves are able to edit this information themselves. Once logged into their account, find the menu under their name in the top-right corner and select My Account.
